Our Vision: to engage and inspire children with a love for learning and to teach them the skills they need to reach their full potential.
Our Mission: Kent Elementary School’s educational programs will engage and help students develop their academic, social, emotional, athletic, and artistic skills. We will challenge and encourage our students to become confident, resilient learners who are proud of themselves and their culture. By supporting the whole child in a safe and nurturing environment, we will help them to discover their strengths and interests and grow into responsible citizens ready to take an active part in society.
A special day with Spuzzum First Nations, as we walked to Alexander Bridge to hang 215 hearts on the path in memory of our lost children. Educators and representatives from Salt Spring Island, Langley and Fraser Cascade participated. Thanks to Gail Stromquist and Chief James.

Every student at Agassiz Elementary Secondary will pass by this message every morning. Thanks to our elder Sel Ya:al Nancy Pat Charlie who attended school here in 1957 who stated, “she never thought she would see the day when our culture was being celebrated and recognized!”
